Position Summary:

The Clinician is responsible for providing crisis intervention, risk assessment, and care coordination for individuals experiencing mental health crises, particularly those at risk for suicide. This role includes managing incoming 988 crisis calls, coordinating Baker Act referrals from hospitals and designated facilities, and ensuring appropriate follow-up and continuity of care. The position works collaboratively with our Emergency Services Assessment Center to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.

Key responsibilities:

- Managing the 988-suicide lifeline

- Reviewing pending baker act referrals from hospitals

- Completing 988 reports

- Managing care port/ epic referrals

- Calling hospitals and other Baker act facilities to establish and manage trustful partnerships

- Cross-training with other DLC professionals to deliver seamless client care.

- Working closely with DLC Providers, Nurses, other Clinicians, Behavioral Health Technicians, Support Staff and external community partners

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental health counseling, Behavioral Science, Psychiatric Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling or other relevant field
