Salary: Starting at $65,000

Job Summary: The Advancement Officer will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with mid-level donors, who are defined as those contributing between $1,000 and $24,999 annually. This role involves identifying potential donors, developing strategies for engagement, and ensuring effective stewardship to maximize donor retention and growth.
As an Advancement Officer at DLC, you will play a critical role in our work. You will be at the forefront of addressing the worst mental health crisis in our community's history where philanthropy can have a profound impact. You will be part of a team reimagining the future of mental health care in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Donor Cultivation: Identify and engage mid-level donors through personalized communication and outreach efforts.
- Stewardship: Ensure donors receive appropriate recognition and updates on the impact of their contributions.
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to increase mid-level donor contributions, including targeted campaigns and events.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions in the Advancement database.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Advancement Officer and other team members to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
- Reporting: Track and analyze fundraising progress, providing regular reports on outcomes and insights.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 to 5 years of fundraising experience, preferably with a focus on mid-level donors.
- Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices, with a demonstrated track record of securing leadership gifts.
- A passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to advancing DLC's mission.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a time.
- Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and inspire philanthropy that allows people struggling with mental health and substance use to have access to compassionate, quality care.
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Donor Management Software.
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations.
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check.
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
