Job Summary:

The Intake Clinician is a fundamental part of securing a strong care plan for each of our valued Clients - they make a visible and immediate impact on the lives of those in the SWFL community that need access to resources necessary for mental health and wellness.

Key responsibilities include: Clinical Triage, Crisis Support/Intervention, Outreach, Coordination of Care, Caseload Management, Data Entry, Scheduling, Phone Calls, Auditing and Front Desk duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Effectively managing various clinical and administrative responsibilities within an outpatient/walk-in setting.

Collaborating with internal and external providers to meet Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder needs in the community.

Crisis support/intervention, triage and caseload management.

Ensuring timely services are being provided, closing charts, reporting to the state and making referrals to appropriate levels of care within the agency as well as external resources.

Offering proactive and thoughtful recommendations for process and quality improvement.

Setting an example in providing Client-conscious service to the SWFL community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science or a related field.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in community health, mental health, substance use disorders or similar.
  • Spanish Bilingual = Strongly Preferred
  • Ability to evaluate Client needs quickly and effectively both via telephone and in person.
  • Ability to respect an environment where all members of a team are valued equally in reaching shared goals.
  • Valid FL Driver's License.
  • Skills in providing direct services and relating to a wide variety of Clients, co-workers and community agencies.
  • Exceptional skills in organization (time and information) and communication (written and verbal).
  • The ability to combine empathy, energy and efficiency.
  • Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
  • Staying compliant on all training and immunizations.
  • Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check

Physical Requirements:

This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
