Job Summary: Our Medical Services Program is an Outpatient setting that provides imperative care to address Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder issues. It utilizes the skills of compassionate professionals to ensure the development of happy and healthy lives for our Clients. Certified Medical Assistants will provide direct Client care, assist Nursing and Provider Staff, and maintain high standards of documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Obtaining vital signs and medical history information including medications, dosages, side effects, etc.

- Health history workups including but not limited to nutrition, substance use, food tolerance and overall wellness status.

- Participates in treatment planning and Client care process as a vital part of overall Treatment Team.

- Observing and reporting Client behaviors and implementing specialized services/interventions regarding clinical and behavioral issues.

- Timely and accurate documentation of Client information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

- Assisting with monitoring Nurse Hotline for medication management needs plus assessing and communicating urgency to appropriate Medical Staff.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent = Required

- Current/Clear Florida CMA Certification = Required

- 1-2 year of related experience = Strongly Preferred

- Spanish Bilingual = Preferred But Not Required

- Exceptional skills in organization (time and information), task prioritization and independent problem solving = Required

- Ability to relate to and communicate with a diverse group of Clients, colleagues, agencies, and community members = Required

- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required

Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
