Job Summary: The DLC Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCSU) provide high-impact, transformative and imperative care to those who might not otherwise have access to rehabilitation resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides therapeutic engagement, clinical group structure, milieu support, and demonstrates enthusiasm for working with children and adults in crisis to support a therapeutic milieu.
- Able to work under the leadership of the Clinical Director and Lead Inpatient Psychiatrist to support program and treatment goals in a consistent manner.
- Provides individual, family and group therapy for CSU and CCSU Clients based on daily needs and schedule.
- Provides care coordination, education, and support services to CSU and CCSU Clients and families.
- Serves as a back-up Clinician and support to Child PHP clinical services as assigned and needed (includes 1:1, admission, and group support).
- Fully utilizes DSM-5 with skill and accuracy.
- Attends Daily Morning Treatment Team Meeting to review and discuss Client pass-down/report, and treatment progress.
- Contributes to comprehensive and holistic treatment planning and clinical interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, in collaboration with Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurses, Behavioral Health Technicians and Support Staff.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in psychology, social work, behavioral science or related = Required
- At least one year of experience providing individual and group therapy services in a behavioral healthcare setting = Required
- At least one year of experience in Crisis Intervention = Preferred
- Strong capabilities in multi-disciplinary team collaboration = Required
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of co-workers, Clients and community agencies = Required
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Required
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
