Job Summary: The Director of Strategic Project Management is a senior-level role responsible for coordinating and overseeing a range of organizational projects as the organization expands operations and opens new facilities. This role serves as the key integrator of project timelines, communication, and system alignment.
This is a high-visibility leadership position for someone who thrives on clarity, accountability, and follow-through - and who knows how to make complex initiatives move forward!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the overall schedule and progress of multiple high-impact organizational projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
- Utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) principles-including Rocks, Traction, and Scorecards-to drive accountability and transparency in project execution.
- Leverage the Ninety.io platform, in conjunction with Asana, to maintain a clear and organized view of ongoing projects, ensuring all team members are aligned with current priorities and timelines.
- Facilitate regular check-ins and cross-departmental reporting to ensure projects stay on track.
- Identify and troubleshoot barriers that could impede progress, and recommend solutions that support efficiency and collaboration.
- Provide leadership and structure to project management processes as the organization grows and evolves.
- Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks plus establish scalable project management standards.
- Model DLC Best in Class values in all interactions and hold teams accountable with clarity and respect.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Operational Leadership, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, etc.) from an accredited institution = Required
- Master's Degree in related field (MBA, MHA, Master's in Organizational Leadership, MPH, etc.) from an accredited institution = Preferred But equivalent experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in project management, program management, operations, or organizational execution roles = Required
- 3-5+ years in a senior-level or director-level capacity, leading cross-functional initiatives and working directly with executive leadership = Required
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple, concurrent, high-impact initiatives with competing priorities = Required
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or other highly regulated environments = Strongly Preferred
- Familiarity with the complexity of the healthcare system, compliance considerations, and multidisciplinary teams = Preferred
- Experience in mission-driven or nonprofit organizations, especially those experiencing growth or transformation = Preferred
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Copilot) = Required
- Familiarity with the EOS framework and experience with tools such as Ninety.io and Asana = Strongly Preferred
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
