APRN: Acute Care - Adult and Child Crisis Stabilization Units (Position #1086]

Our Acute Care Program includes the Emergency Services Assessment Center as well as Crisis Stabilization Units for both Children (15 beds) and Adults (30 beds).  It Provides invaluable assistance for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

This is an opportunity to work with some of SWFL's most dedicated professionals in the Mental Health field and offers a consistent weekday schedule plus additional earnings potential.

POSITION DETAILS:

- Providing care for primarily adults and children (as a back-up) in crisis and admitted under voluntary and/or involuntary Baker Act.

- Working closely with Staff Psychiatrist and treatment team completing psychiatric evaluations, daily medication management follow up, physical examination as assigned, stabilization, discharge planning, and continued involuntary placement hearings.

- Accepting supervision and guidance from Psychiatrists and participating as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

- Participating in morning team reports, treatment team meetings, family meetings and provider sessions.

- Properly documenting services in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, including orders, labs, order authentication and e-prescribing.

- Addressing all client/family concerns in a professional and compassionate way.

TO BECOME A MEMBER OF OUR ELITE ACUTE CARE TEAM:

- Master's Degree in Nursing from accredited institution = Required

- Two years post Master's Degree working under an MD = Required

- Clear/Active FL APRN License = Required

- PSYCH Certification = Required

- Skills in psychiatric assessment, evaluation, medication management, treatment planning and medical/psych intervention = Required

- Experience and familiarity with documenting in an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office 365/Teams = Preferred But Will Train!

- Knowledge of Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder treatment principles and techniques (including Medication Assisted Treatment) = Preferred

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Clear Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprint Screening and Drug Test = Required

LOGISTICS & COMPENSATION:

- Full-Time Salaried/Exempt Position
~ Monday-Friday, Target Standard Business Hours
~ Rotating Weekend On-Call Coverage - Required (enhanced compensation)
~ Back-up coverage for Child CSU, other APRN's, etc.
