Welcome to David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), where we provide life-saving and life-changing behavioral health care through the help of the industry's most skilled professionals.

DETOX:

Our 18-bed inpatient adult Detox Program provides critical care and has expansion plans in place. 

CRISIS UNITS:

Our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCSU) provide high-impact, transformative and imperative care to those who might not otherwise have access to mental health resources.

POSITION DETAILS:

- Providing highly-skilled care to all Clients including triage, nursing assessment, implementation of orders, withdrawal assessment and management, observation, interviewing, recording and reporting medical and behavior patterns.

- Evaluating and identifying nursing care plans and intervening according to nursing practice standards to meet Client treatment/care needs in a timely and appropriate manner.

- Processing admissions and discharges in a timely/thorough manner.

- Implementing effective infection control practices and following reporting standards.

- Working closely with Providers, Clinicians, other Nurses, Behavioral Health Techs and Support Staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Detox
~ Utilizing critical thinking skills to determine level of treatment
~ Completing required electronic state reporting documents

- Maintaining state guidelines for the tasks/services performed.

- Collaborating with Emergency Services, Crossroads, Access Center and DLC's community partners.

- Providing guidance and training to Behavioral Health Tech Staff as needed, especially during crisis situations.

- Properly documenting Client information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system including Nursing Notes, S/R Notes, etc.

- Addressing all Client concerns in a professional yet compassionate way.

TO BECOME A MEMBER OF OUR ELITE NURSING TEAM:

- High school Diploma/GED = Required

- Graduation from an accredited nursing program = Required

- Clear/Active FL LPN or RN License = Required

- Skills in nursing assessment, evaluation, planning and intervention = Required

- Related experience = Required
~ Mental health, behavioral health, crisis nursing and/or psych nursing
~ Inpatient, residential, jail, detox and/or Baker Act
~ Dementia, Alzheimer's, anxiety, agitation, mental status changes, confusion, memory care, etc.

- Experience and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office 365/Teams = Required

- Basic knowledge of Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder treatment principles and techniques (including Medication Assisted Treatment) = Required

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Clear Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprint Screening and Drug Test = Required

LOGISTICS & COMPENSATION:

- Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt positions [36-40 Hours]
~ Opportunity To Work Additional Hours In Other Programs After Initial Employment Period

Available Schedules:

# 1049 = Detox LPN [Monday-Thursday, 7AM-4PM]

# 1103 = Detox LPN [Monday-Thursday, 3PM-12AM]

#'s 58 & 950 = CSU RN [Monday-Thursday, 7AM-4PM]

Enhanced Shift Differential:

WEEKDAYS
DAY [8AM-4PM] = Base Rate
EVENING [4PM-12AM] = Additional $3.00 per hour
OVERNIGHT [12AM-8AM] Additional $5.00 per hour

WEEKENDS
DAY [8AM-4PM] = Additional $2.00 per hour
EVENING [4PM-12AM] = Additional $5.00 per hour
OVERNIGHT [12AM-8AM] Additional $7.00 per hour
