Job Summary: DLC's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCSU) provide high-impact, transformative and imperative care to those who might not otherwise have access to rehabilitation resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing highly skilled care to all Clients in the Crisis Stabilization Units during shift.
- Processing admissions to the CSU/CCSU in a timely manner.
- Taking care of CSU/CCSU admissions and discharges as needed.
- Communicating with Emergency Services, Detox, Behavioral Health Technicians, community partners and local hospitals as needed.
- Providing guidance and training to BHT staff as needed, especially during crisis situations.
- Properly documenting work in Credible EMR system (nursing notes and transcribing orders).
- Addressing Client concerns in a professional yet compassionate way.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma/GED = Required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program = Required
- Current State of Florida LPN Certification = Required
- 1-2 years' related experience (adolescents and adults with Chronic Mental Health issues, Substance Use Disorders, etc.) = Required
- Bilingual = Preferred But Not Required
- Skills in nursing assessment, evaluation, planning, and intervention = Required
- Ability to relate to a diverse group of clients, and co-workers = Required
- Adaptability to varying and emergency work conditions = Required
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
