Job Summary:
Our Medical Services Program is an Outpatient setting that provides imperative care to address Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder issues. It utilizes the skills of compassionate professionals to ensure the development of happy and healthy lives for our Clients.
We are looking to provide a long and strong career path for a compassionately skilled Tech/CNA who is motivated to broaden their Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing direct care to clients including taking vital signs, obtaining thorough medical/mental health/substance use disorder history before doctor visits.
- Working with the entire Medical Services team to develop treatment plans and communicate with families, schools, and outside providers when necessary.
- Supports providers by observing/documenting client behavior and implementing specialized behavioral services/interventions when needed.
- Displaying energy, empathy, and efficiency regarding client care, and addressing client concerns of those that arrive at or call into the clinic.
- Assisting with obtaining pharmacogenetic testing, urine drug screen in office when required.
- Providing timely and accurate documentation and services (paper and electronic medical records).
- Working with the Nurses Help Line, Prior Authorizations, and discharges for the Medical Services program when needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Services Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma/GED = Required
- Graduation from an accredited CNA Program = Required
- Current State of Florida CNA Certification = Required
- 1-2 years' experience with Mental Health/Substance Use/Outpatient Clinic Setting = Strongly Preferred
- Skills in nursing assessment, evaluation, planning and intervention = Preferred
- Ability to relate to and communicate with a diverse group of clients, colleagues, agencies, and community members = Required
- Exceptional skills in organization (time and information), task prioritization and independent problem solving = Required
- Spanish Bilingual = Strongly Preferred
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
