Nursing Coordinator (RN): Crossroads Continuum
Our 15-bed inpatient adult Detox Program provides critical care and has expansion plans in place. This working Coordinator role is an opportunity to utilize compassionate clinical skills to support our Clients' recovery and our Nursing Team's success.
POSITION DETAILS:
Standard Crossroads Continuum Duties:
- Timely/accurate documentation in electronic medical records system.
- Supplying direction to Behavioral Healthcare Technicians (BHT's).
- Evaluating and identifying nursing care plans according to DLC standards.
- Effective infection control practices and reporting standards.
- Safely and effectively implementing Client Admissions/Discharges.
- Direct Client Care
~ Triage, assessment and implementation of orders
~ Withdrawal evaluation and management
~ Observing, recording and reporting medical/behavioral patterns.
Nurse Coordinator Duties:
- Shift leadership to uphold Policy and Workflows to required standard.
~ Client and Family Communications
~ Crisis intervention and de-escalation
~ All daily tasks/requirements
~ Approval/Sign-Off for LPN Nursing Assessments
~ BHT and LPN Policy/Procedure training
- Scheduling assistance via monitoring, suggestions, and feedback.
- Infection Control reporting and management of quarterly reporting.
- Maintaining calibration of all medical equipment and logs/binder.
- Daily Treatment Plan review/development/sign-off.
- Functioning as Charge Nurse when Nursing Supervisor is not present:
~ Respond to calls related to Family/Guardian concerns
~ Reviewing Client grievance forms and validity investigations
- Supporting Nursing Supervisor/Program Director as needed.
- Assisting with Medication Inventory//Ordering/Disposal/Multi-Dose Vials.
- On-Call scheduling and shift fill-in when needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school Diploma/GED = Required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program = Required
- Current State of Florida RN License = Required
- Supervisory or Charge Nurse experience = Strongly Preferred
- Substance Use Disorder/Detox experience = Required
- Spanish Bilingual = Preferred
- Skills in nursing assessment, evaluation, planning, and intervention = Required
- Adaptability to varying and emergency work conditions = Required
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office 365/Teams = Required
- Basic knowledge of Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health treatment principles and techniques (including Medication Assisted Treatment) = Strongly Preferred
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass a Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
LOGISTICS & COMPENSATION:
- Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt position
~ Target hours 11AM-7PM, 5 days per week
~ Includes weekends
~ Days worked differ per week based on Program/Unit/Client needs
OUTSTANDING SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL!
WEEKDAYS
DAY [8AM-4PM] = Base Rate
EVENING [4PM-12AM] = Additional $3.00 per hour
OVERNIGHT [12AM-8AM] Additional $5.00 per hour
WEEKENDS
DAY [8AM-4PM] = Additional $2.00 per hour
EVENING [4PM-12AM] = Additional $5.00 per hour
OVERNIGHT [12AM-8AM] Additional $7.00 per hour
