Salary: $55,000-$65,000

Job Summary: PHP provides a structured, intensive and medically supervised voluntary daytime treatment option to adolescents. It assists those exhibiting psychiatric symptoms that put their self-care, school functioning and family/interpersonal relationships at risk, with the goal of decreasing the need for hospitalization and offering a safe environment to learn healthy coping skills without the need for 24-hour inpatient or residential support.

***This is a cross-functional position that requires working with Acute Care and Emergency Services to assist with other aspects of essential services***

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilizing a variety of clinical skills to assess, intervene and treat adolescents within the behavioral healthcare field as well as participating in clinical supervision.

- Working closely with the school system, offering comprehensive services and being part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Providing individual, family and group therapy as well as medication management visits.

- Deftly managing a caseload based on Utilization Management Plan.

- Conducting and documenting client assessments according to best practice standards.

- Developing, reviewing and evaluating custom treatment plans in accordance with guidelines.

- Approaching clinical services to empower clients, show a focus on recovery, listen to client input and educate families.

- Communicating with internal/external providers as well as school systems to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

- Master's Degree in related field from an accredited institution = Required

- Two plus years of experience working with adolescents aged 13-17 in a behavioral healthcare setting including client assessment and direct service provision = Required

- General knowledge of treatment concepts as well as rules/regulations pertaining to the treatment of the mentally ill or those with substance use disorders = Required

- Willingness to work across programs to assist with client needs = Required

- Ability to relate to a wide variety of co-workers, clientele, and community agencies = Required

- Accurate, organized and informative record-keeping/reporting skills = Required

- Ability to ensure that all activities are managed according to David Lawrence Center policy and procedure = Required

- Spanish Bilingual = Strongly Preferred

- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required

Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
