Triage Nurse Coordinator (RN): Crisis Units/Acute Care [# 1043]

Our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCSU) provide high-impact, transformative and imperative care to those who might not otherwise have access to mental health resources.

POSITION DETAILS:

- Triaging Hospital Medical Packets and Referrals.

- Crisis intervention, safety assessment and risk management.

- Ordering unit supplies and assisting with inventory management.

- Working closely with others on the Acute Care Leadership Team.

- Providing highly-skilled care to all Clients in the CSU/CCSU (high-paced and team-oriented atmosphere).

- Processing admissions to the CSU/CCSU in a timely manner, including Nursing Assessments.

- Working in a multidisciplinary environment to ensure continuity of care.

- Assisting with CSU/CCSU discharges as needed.

- Handling multiple tasks within a demanding environment. 

- Communicating with Emergency Services Assessment Center (ESAC), Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT's), community partners and local hospitals. 

- Providing guidance and training to BHT staff as needed, especially during crisis situations.

- Properly documenting work in Credible EMR System (Nursing Notes, S/R Notes, etc.).

- Addressing Client concerns in a professional yet compassionate way and advocating for their needs as appropriate.

- Other tasks/Floor Nurse duties as assigned by Acute Care Nursing Supervisor.

TO BECOME A MEMBER OF OUR ELITE RN TEAM:

- High school Diploma/GED = Required

- Graduation from an accredited nursing program = Required

- Current State of Florida RN License = Required

- 1-2 years' related experience (adolescents and adults with Chronic Mental Health issues, Substance Use disorders, etc.) = Required

- Skills in nursing assessment, evaluation, planning, and intervention = Required

- Ability to relate to a diverse group of clients, and co-workers = Required

- Adaptability to varying and emergency work conditions = Required

- Bilingual = Preferred But Not Required

- Electronic Medical Record documentation experience = Strongly Preferred

- Intermediate Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including TEAMS) = Required

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Ability to pass a DCF Level II Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required

LOGISTICS & COMPENSATION:

- Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt Position 
~ Monday-Thursday, 12PM-10PM

OUTSTANDING SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL!

WEEKDAYS
DAY [8AM-4PM] = Base Rate
EVENING [4PM-12AM] = Additional $3.00 per hour
OVERNIGHT [12AM-8AM] Additional $5.00 per hour

WEEKENDS
DAY [8AM-4PM] = Additional $2.00 per hour
EVENING [4PM-12AM] = Additional $5.00 per hour
OVERNIGHT [12AM-8AM] Additional $7.00 per hour
