Job Summary: The Development Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Advancement team, ensuring that day-to-day tasks, donor communications, and internal workflows are executed accurately and efficiently.
The Development Coordinator reports to the Administrative & Database Supervisor and works closely with the Advancement Operations Specialist. By ensuring reliable execution behind the scenes, this is a key role in supporting donor engagement and contributing to the resources needed to serve individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & CRM Support
- Enter and update donor records, gifts, actions, and notes into Raiser's Edge.
- Support ongoing data maintenance efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with basic data cleanup/record updates in alignment with standards.
- Serve as backup support for gift entry during high-volume periods.
List Preparation & Campaign Execution
- Pull routine donor lists based on criteria provided by the Administrative & Database Supervisor.
- Support execution of email campaigns, including scheduling and deployment.
- Assist with direct mail preparation, including list handling and coordination with internal teams.
- Ensure lists and communications are completed accurately and delivered on time.
Donor Stewardship & Administrative Support
- Support donor acknowledgment processes, including preparing/tracking communications.
- Assist with invoicing and basic financial tracking tasks related to fundraising.
- Monitor shared inboxes and assist with routine donor/internal communications.
- Coordinate with Advancement Operations Specialist and Front Desk staff to ensure donor-facing materials and supplies are available for use as needed.
Onboarding & Internal Support
- Assist with maintaining onboarding checklists and documentation.
- Support meeting coordination, scheduling, and preparation of internal team materials.
- Support onboarding of new Advancement staff by preparing materials, scheduling meetings, and completing administrative onboarding tasks.
Workflow Execution Support
- Execute tasks within established workflows defined by the Advancement team.
- Maintain tracking tools and assist with updates as directed.
- Support implementation of established processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately/on time to support campaigns/grant activities/priorities.
Reporting & Working Relationships
- Work closely with the Advancement Operations Specialist to support execution of workflows, campaigns, and Advancement initiatives.
- Receive task direction and prioritization from the Advancement Operations Specialist and guidance on data standards and accuracy from the Administrative & Database Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant administrative, development, or advancement experience, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising/database systems (Preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work with accuracy and consistency
- Experience supporting administrative workflows, processes, or coordinated team projects (Preferred)
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Alignment with DLC's mission and a demonstrated belief in the importance of behavioral health services.
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Copilot/PowerPoint, etc.).
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations.
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check.
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
