Job Summary: This medical support position provides employee health coordination services in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards and contributes to infection prevention and control. Reporting directly to our Registered Nurse Medical Services Supervisor, and receiving support from our Infection Prevention & Control Officer, this opportunity serves as a connection between services offered to our staff, clients and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the DLC Employee Wellness Programs and Medical Services Clinics.
- Coordinating flu vaccination initiatives and conducting TB screening/testing.
- Managing Hepatitis B vaccination coordination to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and accrediting body requirements.
- CLIA Lab testing tracking and oversight with Narcan Outreach program coordination.
- Quarterly infection prevention and control surveillance.
- Overseeing refrigerator temperature monitoring systems and managing RL6 incident reporting.
- Completing compliance reports and following up with program staff on improvement processes.
- Ensuring infectious disease and exposure incidents are appropriately managed in accordance with standards and policies.
- Developing educational staff materials and assisting Staff Development Officer for required trainings, vaccinations and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent & graduation from an accredited Nursing = Required
- Current/Clear State of Florida LPN License = Required
- One year experience in a psychiatric or medical setting = Strongly Preferred
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of co-workers, clientele and public = Required
- Bilingual = Preferred But Not Required
- Adaptability to varying/emergent work conditions while directing staff = Required
-Basic knowledge of principles and treatment techniques of mental health programs = Required
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Copilot) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Required
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
