Job Summary: This responsible skilled licensed nursing position provides a variety of direct clinical services to clients, working with the primary physician and/or charge nurse in residential and out-patient settings. May act as charge nurse providing leadership and decision-making to shift staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Direct Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatments to Clients.
- Supporting the planning, implementation and follow up for Injection Clinics.
- Other direct Client services including check-ins, Health Screening, observation, interviewing, and recording/reporting medical and/or behavioral patterns.
- Providing timely and accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
- Evaluating Nursing Care Plans and intervening if needed to meet Client treatment/care needs according to nursing practice standards in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Identifying, reviewing and implementing effective infection control practices and following reporting standards.
- Providing structured nursing/medical/psychiatric Client and family education via individual and group formats.
- Sharing accurate and thorough verbal and/or written information on Client population to Providers, other Nurses and other Team Members to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitoring and maintaining pharmaceutical and related nursing supplies.
- Actively participating in case staffing to address Client medical, psychological, and emotional status based on nursing assessment findings.
- Safely, accurately, and effectively implementing and documenting Client discharges.
- Serving as a guiding support system to other Nurses and Outpatient/Medical Services Staff.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent = Required
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program = Required
- BSN Degree = Preferred
- Current/Clear State of Florida RN License = Required
- One year experience in a psychiatric or medical setting = Required
- Experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatments = Preferred
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of co-workers, clientele and public = Required
- Bilingual = Preferred But Not Required
- Adaptability to varying/emergent work conditions while directing staff = Required
- Basic knowledge of principles and treatment techniques of mental health and substance use issues = Required
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Copilot) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Required
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
