Job Summary: Our Medical Services Program is an Outpatient setting that provides imperative care to address Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder issues. It utilizes the skills of compassionate professionals to ensure the development of happy and healthy lives for our Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing direct care to Clients including taking vital signs.
- Displaying energy, empathy and efficiency regarding Client care.
- Addressing Client concerns of those that arrive at or call into the clinic.
- Developing and updating treatment plans.
- Performing pharmacogenetic testing and administering long-acting injectable medications.
- Communicating with schools, families and outside providers.
- Conducting triage assessment before Provider visits.
- Providing timely and accurate documentation (paper and electronic medical records).
- Assisting with prescription correspondence.
- Working with the Nurse Help Line, prior authorizations, and discharges for the Medical Services Program.
- Collaborating with other Nurses, Providers, Clinicians and Support Staff to provide 360-degree Client care.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma/GED = Required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program = Required
- Current State of Florida LPN License = Required
- 1-2 years' related experience = Strongly Preferred
- Spanish Bilingual = Preferred
- Skills in nursing assessment, evaluation, planning, and intervention = Required
- Ability to relate to a diverse group of Clients, and co-workers = Required
- Adaptability to varying and emergency work conditions = Required
- Basic knowledge of Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health treatment principles and techniques (including Medication Assisted Treatment) = Required
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, (General Information can be found HERE), Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
