~ Saturday & Sunday With 2 Supporting APRN's
~ On-call Consultation and Orders for After Hours (5PM- 8AM) for Assigned Week
~ Emergencies and Orders
Salary: Starting at $140/Hour (Experience Heavily Considered)

Job Summary: DLC is offering a flexible opportunity to join our highly-reputed Baker Act receiving facility team. Psychiatrists that show energy and compassion while remaining calm in crisis situations, and have the ability to be flexible with scheduling, will thrive in this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Director of Acute Care Services and Medical Director while also demonstrating a high level of independent responsibility.
- Providing direct psychiatric services in a crisis/inpatient setting to adults and children.
- Cross training for coverage of Detox and Crossroads substance use recovery programs.
- Attending Baker Act court hearings, completing Baker Act evaluations and providing medication follow up to inmates at the Collier County Jail via telemedicine.
- Attending morning team report meeting and actively participating in treatment planning with other DLC Staff to design optimal client care.
- Assessing clients' mental health status, diagnostic impressions supported by the presenting symptoms, clinical summary, and treatment recommendations.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and families to achieve treatment goals.
- Assuring appropriate medication prescription and responding to address and manage side effects.
- Completing timely and accurate documentation requirements using agency electronic health record in compliance with confidentiality and privacy laws.
- Complying with DLC's policies and procedures relating to restraint, seclusion, and emergency treatment orders.
Qualifications:
- Current and clear FL Psychiatrist License & DEA = Required
- Medical Doctor Degree from a regionally accredited College or University = Required
- Experience with Baker Acts = Required
- 2 years of Inpatient experience = Required
- 1 year working with adults, adolescents and children that have severe mental illnesses/co-occurring disorders = Preferred
- Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to the care and treatment of those with mental health or substance use disorders = Required
- Ability to collaborate with other Programs, outside community agencies, and a diverse Client base = Required
- Spanish Bilingual = Preferred But Not Required
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule with limited notice = Strongly Preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain professional Client boundaries = Required
- Ability to assess emergency situations and respond effectively = Required
- Dedication to the organization's mission, standards, procedures and protocol = Required
- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activities throughout the workday. Duties involve periods of standing, sitting, and walking, often across various areas of the site. The role also includes tasks that may require bending, reaching, and other physical movements. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
