PRN - Maintenance Technician: Facilities [Position # 302]

Our experienced Facilities Team maintains DLC's safe and beautifully kept Campuses. 

As we continue to grow, and as we uphold our commitment to providing the best environment possible for our Clients and Staff, we are looking to select a new Part Time Facilities Technician.

-  Minor construction, general maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs for various structures and Campus facilities.

-  Light painting, masonry, closed circuit TV inspection, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, grounds work and attic work.

-  Basic trouble-shooting, installation and in-field repair for a variety of equipment and components.

-  Driving pick-up trucks and vans for transportation of tools or materials.

-  Recognizing and reporting deterioration, repair needs, and maintenance issues.

-  Operating hand-held manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools (shovels, mixers, sprayers, drills, hammers, pressure washers, etc.) plus small equipment (jack hammers, concrete saws, chain saws, skill saw, etc.).

-  Recording work orders, materials utilization, supplies inventory, cost estimates, labor hours, maintenance logs and fuel logs.

-  Ensuring the cleanliness and performance level of all tools, equipment and vehicles to maintain operational efficiency and comply with department policy.

- Courier duties between locations as needed


This is a training-level position; we are more interested in your work ETHIC than your work EXPERIENCE.

  • High School Diploma or GED = Preferred But Not Required
  • Experience in maintenance, landscaping, etc. = Preferred But Not Required
  • Interest within a certain trade = Preferred But Not Required
  • Valid FL Driver's License with clean record = Required
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl = Required
  • Demonstrated safety when lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20-50 lbs. = Required
  • Willingness to adhere to OHSA, JCAHO, AHCA and DLC standards for residential maintenance = Required
  • Ability to pass a clean background check including criminal, drug and references = Required
  • Staying compliant with all immunizations and trainings = Required


- PRN/On-Call/As-Need position

- Eight to 24 hours per week

- Hourly wage and opportunity to learn new skills
