PRN: APRN - Acute Care Program [Position # 261]

Our Acute Care Program includes the Emergency Services Assessment Center as well as Crisis Stabilization Units for both Children and Adults and provides invaluable assistance for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. 

This is an opportunity to work with some of SWFL's most dedicated professionals in the Mental Health field with a flexible schedule as well! 

POSITION DETAILS:

- Completing Psychiatric Evaluations under the Baker Act and Daily Rounds/Medication Management, Discharge Planning, Admission and Discharge Orders, etc.

- Providing coverage for scheduled shifts and/or on-call/weekend coverage for Crisis Stabilization 30- bed Adult unit and 15-bed Child Crisis Stabilization Unit.

-Completing physical examinations for CSU, Detox, and SUD Residential as needed. 

- Working closely with DLC Psychiatrists and other provides, receiving supervision and guidance as everyone participates as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

TO JOIN OUR ELITE ACUTE CARE TEAM:

- Current PSYCH APRN certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) = Required

- At least 1 year post Master's Experience = Required

-  Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office 365/Teams = Strongly Preferred 

- Basic knowledge of Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health treatment principles and techniques (including Medication Assisted Treatment) = Required

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Ability to pass a Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required

COMPENSATION & LOGISTICS: 

- PRN/On-Call Position (Hourly/Non-Exempt)
~ Shifts can be accepted or denied, with minimum requirement of (if offered) 2 shifts per month
~ Includes weekend days
