Position Title: UDS Specialist/Substance Use Recover Coach

 Reports To: Program Supervisor

Location: Naples, Florida

 Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $39,000-$55,000

Position Summary:

A UDS Specialist (Urine Drug Screen Collector) plays a critical role in conducting drug screening tests in compliance with legal, professional, and organizational standards.

Recovery Coach: is a professional or peer who provides support, guidance, and encouragement to individuals seeking to achieve and maintain recovery from addiction, mental health challenges, or other life obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:

· Urinalysis Drug Screenings: Oversee proper collection procedures. Ensuring that samples are collected in a manner that prevents tampering or contamination. This includes ensuring accurate documentation with all aspects of testing process.

·  Specimen Collection:

    • Perform urine specimen collections for drug and alcohol testing following strict chain-of-custody protocols.
    • Ensure specimens are labeled accurately and securely packaged for transportation to the laboratory.

·  Documentation:

    • Complete all required forms and maintain accurate records for each collection.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines, if applicable.

·  Client Interaction:

    • Provide clear instructions to individuals being tested.
    • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

·  Compliance:

    • Follow established safety and infection control guidelines.
    • Adhere to company policies, including those regarding data security and client information confidentiality.

·  Equipment & Supplies:

    • Maintain inventory of collection supplies and order replacements as needed.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the collection area.

Promote Substance Use Recovery through Recovery Coaching Principles:

·  Encourage clients to stay on track with their recovery plans.

·  Use evidence-based peer recovery support strategies on a one- to- one basis.

  • Hold regular check-ins to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Serve as a positive role model.
  • Offer non-judgmental support and listening.
  • Celebrating milestones in recovery.
  • Provide education and use motivational interventions.

·  Additional Duties (include but not limited too):

    • Participate in training programs to stay current on drug testing procedures and regulations.
    • Assist with other administrative or operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

·  High school diploma or equivalent=Required

·  Knowledge of HIPAA and other privacy regulations is beneficial=Required

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills=Required

·  Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and in sensitive situations=Required

·  Personal lived Recovery Experience=Preferred

·  Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate record-keeping=Required

 Working Conditions:

· Must maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of client care.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

 · Ability to lift up to [insert weight] as necessary for client-related tasks (e.g., transporting materials or setting up meetings).
