Supported Education & Employment Specialist (SEES): OnTrack Early Intervention Team [Position # 1024]

OnTrack is an innovative and intuitive multi-disciplinary treatment team - they provide community-based, coordinated and comprehensive services to clients dealing with early episodes of psychosis.

This skilled group works together in supporting adolescents and young adults who have experienced an initial psychotic episode in the early stages of mental health issues. The OnTrack Team also supports the families of those they serve and focuses on a modern and therapeutic approach.


- Assisting with 24/7 On-Call coverage and participating in required OnTrack trainings, consultation calls and modules.

- Fostering a team environment that respects the OnTrack program model (recovery, shared decision-making, care-dignity, cultural humility, etc.).

- Making sure all team members are kept informed on client issues, updates and family details.

- Establishing trusting and collaborative client relationships directed toward accomplishing education or employment goals.

- Using evidence-based approaches to assist clients in obtaining mainstream employment and educational opportunities.

- Providing individualized support to assist clients in maintaining current professional opportunities or schooling.

- Job development and search services directed toward positions individualized to client interests, client skills and client lifestyle/mental health requirements.

- Following the principles and procedures of the individual placement and support approach to supported employment.

- Maintaining strong collaborative relationships with local schools, colleges and other educational resources.

- Meeting OnTrack requirements for minimum number of contacts with local employers per week.

- Educating client families on how to best support young people regarding work and school goals.

- Collaborating with other OnTrack team members to promote client support within the context of the SEES model (engaging clients in fun educational or job skills activities, practicing cognitive or social skills, etc.).

- Arranging access to entitlements counseling for clients and families (Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, etc.).

- Linking transitioning clients to external services that can support work and school goals post-discharge from OnTrack program.

- Functioning as part of a multi-disciplinary team plus other duties as assigned by OnTrack Clinical Supervisor.


- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in psychology, social work, behavioral science or related field = Required

- Experience providing employment or education support services = Required

- Previous work with adolescents/young adults experiencing mental health issues = Required

- Knowledge of local community resources and ability to spend majority of time in community settings = Required

- Spanish or Creole Bilingual = Preferred

- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule with some on-call needs = Required

- Current State of Florida Driver's License with clean record = Required

- Demonstrated abilities in the proper management of time, communications and information = Required

- Active participation in mental health self-help activities, peer support, peer advocacy programs, participant-run organizations, etc. = Required

- Natural ability to work well with a diverse group of peers, coworkers and community partners = Required

- Microsoft Office 365 (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) Electronic Medical Record = Strongly Preferred

- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required

- Ability to pass a Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required



- Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt Position
~ Monday-Friday, Target Standard Business Hours
~ Rotating On-Call Coverage to meet peer/team needs
